The communications duties at House of Hope are changing hands this week.
Communications director Diane Tomasik is retiring on June 22, after nearly eight years with House of Hope. She previously had worked five years in the same role at United Way of Martin County, following a long career in print and online journalism in Florida, Ohio and Virginia.
Tara Jacobs is being promoted to the new position of communications and marketing specialist.
For the past year, Jacobs has been a program assistant at the agency’s Indiantown branch, working directly with people seeking help from House of Hope.
Prior to joining House of Hope in 2015, Jacobs was east coast manager for JRD Saddlery Solutions in Wellington. She previously was general manager at the Martin Downs Equestrian Center in Palm City.
In these positions, Jacobs had extensive experience in communications — online, in person and in print.
This combination of professional communications skills and front-line knowledge of clients’ needs position her well for her new position at House of Hope.
Tara can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or (772) 286-4673, ext. 1013.
