On Sept. 16 and 17, House of Hope will be working in partnership with the Agriculture and Labor Program Inc. (ALPI) to host an energy fair at the Martin County Fairgrounds.
Residents who meet the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) qualifications will be able to receive assistance with their light bills. More than 200 households likely will receive assistance via LIHEAP during the two-day event.
Last year the event began as an opportunity focused on assistance with light bills but grew into a great opportunity for local providers to reach hundreds of people within their target audience.
With this in mind, ALPI and House of Hope are inviting interested providers to set up and distribute informational materials as well as offer on-site services where appropriate.
There is no participation fee. Tables and chairs will be provided. Providers only need to bring adequate staff and specific program materials. You may participate on one or both days.
The actual hours of the fair will be:
- Sept. 16, noon-5 p.m.
- Sept. 17, 9 a.m.- 1 p.m.
If you are interested in participating, please respond ASAP to Lesley Frederick at House of Hope — firstname.lastname@example.org. Additional details will follow.
