Jensen branch opening Mondays

House of Hope continues to expand its hours of operation to better serve the community.

food_pantry_doorOn Feb. 1, the Jensen Beach branch will begin opening on Mondays, joining House of Hope’s Hobe Sound and Indiantown locations in the following schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; Wednesday, 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. (See more info on locations and hours >>)

Each of these locations contains a thrift store, a food pantry and access to Project HOPE (Helping Others Progress through Empowerment). Project HOPE is a collection of services that cover basic needs — food, clothing, furniture, financial assistance – and offer longer-term case planning to help people build life skills for a more self-sufficient future.

In addition to the Jensen Beach, Hobe Sound and Indiantown locations, House of Hope has two facilities in Stuart: a thrift store that is open seven days a week and its main service center that is open five days. However, renovations to this central facility – at the corner of Bonita Street and Dixie Highway in Golden Gate — are soon to begin that will result in the ability to offer weekend and/or evening hours.

Enhancements to the building will re-locate the welcome center and food pantry to the front of the building – creating a single entry point. Plans also include increasing refrigeration to offer more fresh produce and frozen meat, as well as building a clean room to repackage bulk food products.

The address of each House of Hope location is as follows:

Jensen Beach: 1090 NE Jensen Beach Blvd.
Hobe Sound: 8937 SE Bridge Rd.
Indiantown: 15549 SW Warfield Blvd.
Stuart office/services: 2484 SE Bonita St.
Stuart thrift store: 2525 SE Federal Hwy.

Founded in 1984, House of Hope is a Martin County nonprofit agency that now touches the lives of more than 5,000 people per month.
