Meet our partner…the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties
Have you heard that House of Hope has received a $128,362 grant from the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties this year? These funds will be used over a three year period to support our Golden Gate Center for Enrichment project. This will directly help us to renovate the historic Golden Gate building into a vibrant community Center for Enrichment that will offer programs, classes and information sessions in the areas of education, vocational training, life skills, health and nutrition, arts and culture, library services and more. Access to computers and software will provide technology that is lacking in the community. There also will be information and artifacts to recognize and celebrate the history of the building and the Golden Gate community.
Rob Ranieri, CEO of House of Hope said “the Center will provide a pathway towards self-improvement and empowerment for participants. We will be offering ways to enhance their education, vocational training opportunities, programming for healthier households and support in developing a plan for where they want to go and how to get there.”
As one of Florida’s largest community foundations, the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties has invested more than $100 million in grants and scholarships over its 40-year history. The Foundation connects philanthropists to important issues and causes in order to build a stronger community for the future. To learn more about them, please visit www.yourcommunityfoundation.org.
In addition to the Community Foundation’s grant, multiple other local agencies and organizations are collaborating with House of Hope to bring this project to life. Indian River State College (IRSC), the Martin County Library System, the Martin County Health Department, Habitat for Humanity, Project LIFT, the Martin County Community Foundation and the United Way of Martin County are also partnering to develop the program schedule based on their collective data and input from residents and other partners.
