Food drives a staple at St. Joseph

House of Hope would like to thank the people of St. Joseph Catholic Church for their continued outpouring of support.

During the food drives from March through July, they have donated 4,262 pounds of food and $486. All together, this represents the equivalent of 5,801 meals!

Since last September, the total amount of food collected by St. Joseph parishioners for House of Hope is 14,327 pounds. What a blessing!

Food from drives such as this stock House of Hope’s food pantries in Stuart, Hobe Sound, Indiantown and Jensen Beach with nonperishable staples so that the agency can spend donated funds on acquiring meat and produce or other highly needed items such as peanut butter, cereal, canned fruit and tomato products.

Many thanks for helping to fight hunger and hardship in Martin County.
