Buttonwood tennis benefits House of Hope

Buttonwood Tennis Club will present its second annual Men’s and Ladies’ Charity Doubles Championships to Benefit House of Hope on April 8-10, 2016.

Last year’s event raised $20,000 for House of Hope, and Buttonwood aims to do even better this year. Please join the fun, and the fund-raising. Dairy Queen is the lead sponsor, and plenty more sponsorship opportunities are available!

Pro Night: April 8, 6:30 p.m.
The event starts with a Pro Night on Friday, April 8, with teaching pros putting on an exhibition of top-level tennis. There’ll be raffles, prizes and food and drink — all to raise funds for House of Hope.

Tournament: April 9-April 10
Participants will play matches on Saturday and Sunday, April 9-10. Jeff Wilson, the director of tennis at Buttonwood will organize the draw and set the starting times for teams. Lunch will be served 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on both tournament days, with all proceeds from food purchase being donated to House of Hope.

Awards will be presented at the completion of play in the following men’s and ladies’ divisions/levels:

  • 6.0-6.5 Combo = 3.0/3.0 or 3.0/3.5
  • 7.0-7.5 Combo = 3.5/3.5 or 3.5/4.0
  • 8.0-8.5 Combo = 4.0/4.0 or 4.0/4.5
  • Senior = 65 years and older
