House of Hope is supported by more than 200 volunteers each month across our five locations. But we always need more, and there are always new and special opportunities.
Here are the current, urgent needs for volunteers at House of Hope (posted 8/3/2015):
BE A DRIVING FORCE:
Using the House of Hope cargo van, do pickups and deliveries of merchandise on Fridays from all branch locations (Hobe Sound, Indiantown, Jensen Beach, Stuart). You must be 21 or older and have clean driving record.
GET IN ON THE GROUND FLOOR:
Help put down new vinyl tile in the Jensen Beach location.
KEEP US ON TRACK:
Volunteers are needed to handle calls from donors wishing to have furniture picked up and schedule House of Hope’s truck drivers. This position works at the Stuart thrift store and requires someone with excellent customer service skills and the ability to learn the online routing system.
Volunteers are always needed in the thrift store and food pantry at each House of Hope branch location (Hobe Sound, Indiantown, Jensen Beach).
The Stuart thrift store has had a tremendous increase in the volume of donations since its move to U.S. 1. Please help us keep up with the flow of donated items so that we can help more people in need.
Volunteers are always needed on the sales floor and to operate the register at the Stuart thrift store.
If you are interested in any of these positions — or any other type of volunteer opportunity at House of Hope (events, office work, etc.), please contact Kelly McIntyre, manager of volunteers: firstname.lastname@example.org or (772) 286-4673, ext. 1004.
You may also fill out the simple form on the Volunteer page, and Kelly will follow up with you.
