Nutrition & Wellness Programs

To combat the high rates of obesity and chronic illnesses in our community, House of Hope offers nutrition and wellness education programming and manages multiple Nutrition Gardens across Martin County.
Classes and workshops are hands-on and engaging for people of all ages.

The goals are simple but comprehensive:

  • Improve knowledge of nutrition concepts.
  • Improve attitudes towards healthy eating.
  • Provide youth and adults with educational opportunities focused on gardening, healthy eating habits, and basic cooking instruction geared toward preparing healthy meals.
  • Raise awareness of the link between nutrition and healthy eating to overall good health and development in children and adults.

Classes take place at a variety of locations: one of our Nutrition Gardens, Growing Hope Farm, one of our Enrichment Centers, partner agencies, or other locations.
